The Right Frame Of Mind

There are two things that separate successful people from losers.  It’s a positive attitude and self-discipline.  A person with average talents and a great attitude will achieve a lot more than a person with all the knowledge in the world but with a bad attitude.

So what exactly is a positive attitude?

It is a disciplined decision to maintain a consistently confident expectation of good results.  It is faith in the realization of a bright present and an even brighter future.  It has nothing to do with psyching yourself up to believe that some miracle will come to your rescue.

It is amazing how we would lock up our houses to protect our belongings from being stolen but we leave our minds open to anybody to influence our attitude.  You must realize that your attitude is one of the most valuable assets you have.

So how do we develop a great attitude?

The first thing is you should work hard at feeling good about yourself.  When you feel good about the way you look and perform you have an inner confidence resulting from the fact that you exercise self-discipline.  You know you have the ability to stand up and face any challenge that comes your way.

You enter everyday with the assurance that you are in total control.  Little things will not upset your day.  You are fully aware of the fact that life goes on and at everything isn’t always going to work out the way you planned.  Still your attitude will determine how the rest of your day will look like.

It is very difficult to have a positive attitude when you look bad.  It is just one of those things that people who look and feel comfortable with themselves have a higher success ratio.  Make sure you exercise and eat healthy.  I know we don’t want to hear this but if I cannot discipline my own hand how on earth do I want to discipline other people.

I believe it is very important to associate with people who have a positive attitude.  Many times our failures are directly proportional to the input of people who care for us and only wanted to protect us.  The reality is that many of those people have self-image problems and that affects the attitude and ultimately affects your attitude.

One of the most important things to remember in order to maintain a great positive attitude is to keep on dreaming about a better tomorrow.  This will help you cope with everything life throws at you because you know there will be a better tomorrow for you.
